Faith Lutheran Church celebrated a milestone in its 61-year history with the consecration and dedication of a new bell tower on Sunday, November 9, 2025. The addition marks a significant moment for the congregation, which has deep roots in both the local community and the rich traditions of Lutheran worship. To read more, click here.

“This bell tower represents more than an architectural addition — it’s a symbol of our journey as a faith community and our continued commitment to this beautiful corner of Amador County,” said Council President Susan Gall. “We ring the bell each Sunday at the beginning and end of service and now we can continue that beloved tradition for years to come.” To read more, click here.
The newly consecrated bell tower, with the bell originally sourced from an old local farm, will once again call the faithful to worship and mark significant moments in the life of the congregation and broader Pioneer community for generations to come. To read more, click here.

Welcome to Faith Lutheran. We are an Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) congregation. We are part of the Sierra-San Joaquin Conference of the Sierra-Pacific Synod. This congregation is a place where you are invited to celebrate, lament, rejoice, and experience lives being made new.

In 1988, a group of people in Pioneer, California met in a carport to share a dream. Out of that meeting was birthed Faith Lutheran Church of Pioneer, and the plan to build a church that cares deeply about serving our local community. Please join us as we continue to live out that dream.

The sanctuary at Faith Lutheran was built with love and care. The altar is made from one of the local tree giants, a Ponderosa Pine. The cross was handcrafted from an Incense Cedar, and our baptismal font is a grinding rock from the Ione band of Miwok Indians of Amador County, CA. Outside you'll find Easter Hill, a small amphitheater built into the hill, as well as a walkable labyrinth.
